Our Story

Dave, our founder, got his start in the ad specialty business with his first job at Ad Spec, at the age of 13. The experience he learned from this first class operation was the foundation for his knowledge today. In 1991 Dave's dad, Mark, started The Embroidery Room where Dave worked on and off for the next 6 years while attending Reno High School and UNR. After pursuing a career in Electrical Engineering, Dave was drawn back to the Embroidery Room in 2000 were he stayed until 2003. When Jeff Howell convinced Dave to leave the embroidery business and go into screen printing, and Silver Screen was born. It wasn't until six years later that Silver Screen purchased The Embroidery Room and brought it all under one roof.
